Topology with Dynamical Overlap Fermions
We perform dynamical QCD simulations with nf = 2 overlap fermions by hybrid Monte-Carlo method on 64 to 83 × 16 lattices. We study the problem of topological sector changing. A new method is proposed which works without topological sector changes. We use this new method to determine the topological susceptibility at various quark masses.
متن کاملNumerical Quantum Gravity by Dynamical Triangulation
Recently an alternate technique for numerical quantum gravity, dynamical triangulation, has been developed. In this method, the geometry is varied by adding and subtracting equilateral simplices from the simplicial complex. This method overcomes certain difficulties associated with the traditional approach in Regge calculus of varying geometry by varying edge lengths. However additional complic...
متن کاملTwo-point functions in 4D dynamical triangulation
In the dynamical triangulation model of 4D euclidean quantum gravity we measure two-point functions of the scalar curvature as a function of the geodesic distance. To get the correlations it turns out that we need to subtract a squared one-point function which, although this seems paradoxical, depends on the distance. At the transition and in the elongated phase we observe a power law behaviour...
متن کاملZero mode topology with dynamical overlap fermions
We investigate the correlation between the topological charge density and the small eigenvectors of the overlap Dirac operator on ensembles generated at four different quark masses using dynamical overlap fermions. We identify topological structures in the QCD vacuum, and by investigating their size, shape and topological charge, we determine that the small eigenvalues of the Dirac operator are...
متن کاملCurvature and scaling in 4D dynamical triangulation
We study the average number of simplices N (r) at geodesic distance r in the dynamical triangulation model of euclidean quantum gravity in four dimensions. We use N (r) to explore definitions of curvature and of effective global dimension. An effective curvature RV goes from negative values for low κ2 (the inverse bare Newton constant) to slightly positive values around the transition κ2. Far a...
